i took it off. im adhering to rules.
but i see no reason that i can't try and change a moderators view about this so maybe they will change the rule //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
while im i thinkin about it....
one person makes 3 accounts, he uses diff names, diff states, all from a public computer. maybe he works near an office building. they mock up trades and deals with each other on the forum... they leave what looks to be good feedback for each other. he sees a new seller on the forum. he says, send me amp first, and i'll pay you when i receive it because i have good feedback. i send it to office building. he swipes it from the mail cart, because of tracking number that tells exactly when it will be there. the innocent persons name that is written on the package is more than likely blamed. IF i pursue this legally, (for $80.00 mind you) do you really think im gonna end up on top financially? or even find that guy working down the street was to blame?
i never hear from any of the forum names again.
he makes 3 more accounts. rinse, repeat.
when you send money through paypal, there is a guarantee from them that your money is safe. where is the guarantee in the above deal?
the reason
ebay has to be involved is this - you can send money to any one with an email address through paypal.... your money is safe for the 30 day guarantee of paypal, but a smart person can take that money and run with it. now paypal will refund your money because of their guarantee, but that doesn't mean the other guy didn't steal some money from paypal.... fueling his criminal desires //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
this happened to me! anyone remember nexxon? was an online merchant or whatever. i paid through paypal. they kept sayin they had stocking issues and i, like a fool, waited. 30 days was up. paypal could not find the store owner... i had wasted my 30 day guarantee. i get nothing. he got my money.
if you complain within the 30 day period... you can get your money back, but that doesn't mean the other guy didn't make out like a bandit.
basically
ebay has a more solid feedback system. you can look at ended transactions and see if they used paypal for them. this prevents people from just saying, yeah i sent a money order and i got my stuff. (anyone can lie and say that) they would have to go through alot to make a scam through
ebay work. including multiple paypal accounts and the like. would be alot to do everytime you wanted to rip someone off.
