Orion 2500d vs. Soundstream Tarantula 1600/2

the power doesnt make the sub sound good, its the sub and the type of enclosure u have it in. the orion does clean power. u not gonna notice a diff in sound. but the orion is a strong and reliable amp. and does some mean regulated power.
I know...its all about the box. I have seen that a million times on this site. Anyway I have a couple of other questions for you. Whats the deal with the WCC5000 anyway, and why is everybody saying the new Orion sucks b/c its owned by DEI. Is the XTRpro a better Orion amp than the newer ones?

I thought I did enough researching, but prove me wrong please. The soundstrem is a 2CH and the Orion is 1CH both producing pwer at 2ohm. So I am not to sure. I know since the subs are 2ohmDVC I can use a 1CH amp that produces power at 2ohm or 4ohm. But what if it is a 2CH, like the soundstream? And what does mono mean exactly?
you cant hook up two dual 2 ohm subs at 4 ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I know you can't with 2 speakers. Does that meant that since the amp is a 2CH that i am hooking up each speaker to it individually? And since they are individual does that mean that its like hookig them up to separite amps?

You said a once channel amp that does power at 2 or 4 ohms. If the tarantula is on 4 ohms stable bridged, its only 2 ohm stable per channel which means you would run the risk of destroying the amp by running it too low or not get chit for power by running each channel at 4 ohms.

The WCC = west coast customs is a rebadge orion 2500D same exact amp . DEI has always been the mother company of orion does that mean orion sucks hell no . The new orion amps are rock solid and stable at .5 ohm daily and can take even lower ohm loads for burps and are strapable. Power is power for subs unless your runnign a strict SQ setup and need ur subs to be powered in stereo I say your best option for versatility and power is the orion .
