I have installed and tested the 2500D and it's a great amp

and i have done the same thing with the Tarantula 1600/2 and it's a greater amp

Ok, just wanted to make sure.

If ya dont mind me asking. Was this all friends stuff or what? I mean I dont see how you would have these looking at whats in your sig. Dont mean to be rude or anything, just curious.

Don't worry about it... the problem is that those friends i have are people with money who like to own the best... the only difference between they and me is that they know nothing about car audio but they have money and i know "something" about car audio but i don't have the green factor on my side.

Happy now?

the soundstream is rated at 4ohms mono and the orion one ohm mono. Correct? How are you wiring the subs?
I thought I did enough researching, but prove me wrong please. The soundstrem is a 2CH and the Orion is 1CH both producing pwer at 2ohm. So I am not to sure. I know since the subs are 2ohmDVC I can use a 1CH amp that produces power at 2ohm or 4ohm. But what if it is a 2CH, like the soundstream? And what does mono mean exactly?

If this is a 500.00 dollar decision, go with an Eclipse DA7122. I say this with the expectation of further arguements, there is no better mono amp rated at 1000 watts RMS on the market. Please trust me on this. If you are looking to spend less then by no means purchase this amp. If cost doesn't matter; get it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I need an answer to THIS question.l

What kinda electrical system do you have? A stock system will not provide either amps properly...

At 2ohm the Tarantula will pull more current.

The Tarantula isn't 1ohm mono stable, the 2500D makes 2500+ at 2ohm and even more at 1ohm... just a consideration if you ever change subs and wiring configurations...

I also personally know 1 person who had quality problems with the Tarantula

Realisticly the Orion is more versatile.

The orion is longer - but not as deep, more flexible power output, less power consumption, well known as reliable.

I have big3 and 200amp alt.(not installed yet). I thought the orion puts 1700 at 2ohm. I wanted more clean power b/c Ive heard L7 **** in the SQ deparment.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
