Got my orion 2500d on sat. (thx audiofreak) and wanted to know if anyone knows how much it puts out to each set of channels. i might be getting 2 RD alpha V2 12s in a trade and wanted to know if i wire them each to 1 ohm per channel will my amp be able to push them pretty well? or just run one at one ohm and keep gains low to run at about 2k?

first off the 2500d is a single channel amp, with two +'s and two -'s for speaker inputs. I have run my 2500d's @ .25, .5, & 1 ohm, .25 for burps/roll of volume. I have two Solo X d1's in my rsx currently and each has a matching 2500d running @ .5 each.

i've heard it does between 2700-3000 @ .5 ohm, so if you have two dual 2 ohm subs you will have a .5 ohm total load if you parallel everything. So, 1200-1500 depending on what you got for batts per.

please make sure you have 0g going back to the batt/dist block, and make sure you have two 4g grounds and two 4g powers to feed this thing. I have 0g going to a fused dist block, 300a anl fuses for each 2500d.

Great amp. I used to have one.

They can run .5 ohm all day long. Just make sure your electrical is up to snuff.

If it happens to ever fry, just send it to dB-r. They've fixed 2500d's before.
