Orion 2500D mods (pics of bad rework?)

That's why amp repairs should be done by people who actually know what they are doing..

Blow it then sell it to me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Powered up fine for me when I had it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
And he bought it from me, and I bought it from tommy21077 and he bought it from sxkicker89, when I bought it from tommy, I put it in my jimmy, hooked it up, powered my subs and worked fine. decided to go another route and sold it for the usual asking price of an orion 2500D. Not once did I ever look the guts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Feedback thread on sxkicker89. Be very careful when dealing with this guy, if it all.

I am glad this did not turn into a blame thing. I told Trez0r that I didn't want to do that. It is what it is and now the tramp is mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

I am going to fix the bad solder joints myself but before I do that I would like to know what quality parts went back in. If they are not the same as or better then OEM I want to replace them. I would also like to know why that one trace was cut they way it is. I assume this is to prevent some over load protection.

Does anyone know how I can find this stuff out or where? Do I have to call some place like db-r and hope they will help me out even though I am not sending to them (although I would buy the parts from them).

Thanks for the input so far and as I said, I will take pics of the re-work that I do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif There is someone on the forums with a blown visionik that I said I would fix for free plus parts. This way he can atleast see that I am not full of shit when I say I can solder to the extreme //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I am just got finished touching all the solder joints up. Everything went pretty good but they had so much shit on there it would have been easier on a few of the FETS to remove but I will wait on that to figure out if I can upgrade them. Also the transformer coil had so much silicone and hot glue it would have again been eaier to remove them but it is late and I want this thing in my car tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Right now I am replacing the screws that are wrong, missing or broken (they broke a screw on the clamps for the fets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif If I had a dollar for each bad solder joint and effed up screw, I would make my money back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am also going to replace the bottom cover as that thing is bent to shit. I have some 1/8" aluminum sheet laying around (from the 16' twin tower I built //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) and will use that instead of the thing gauge OEM junk.
