I just got an Orion 2500D from a fellow member that got it from antoher fellow member who got it from another fellow member and then I get lost from there.
Regardless, It has been worked on. I do not know if it was due to abuse or if it was modded as one of the traces on the IC where cut (and very poorly at that). I cannot begin to explain all the things that where wrong in the rework but I am going to re-do it all and will post pics of a proper solder job when I am done.
But first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Since I do not know what was done to the amp (yet), Are there mods that can be done to this amp? I guess for myself I do not need gobs of power since I am only running to fi 10's. But I would like the best parts in there that I can get.
Any help would be appreciated.
below are the 10mp pics (56k go eat some cake, you should be ashamed of yourself);
cut trace, a single razor slice is all you effing need. Don't damage the effing board
Bad solder, did'nt scrape wire shielding
Bad solder, think I might hurl
not too bad, just too much or too little
Bad solder, again, strip wire shield and try to hit the solder bad not the IC
Nice hot glue work. Didn't even clean board
