Hey I was just reading the manuel of the orion 2500d amplifier and it says "in order for the orion 2500d to run properly use 4 gauge power wire". I just bought a Stinger 0 gauge wire kit and now im unsure if it will work with the amp? Does anybody here know?

Well I still have the 4gauge wire in my car from my old amp (audiobahn a1300hct) but I was only pushing about 300watts rms to each of my L7s. I was planning on running about 1200 watts rms to each sub now with the Orion and I went ahead and got 0 gauge wiring because thats what everybody recommended me to get for such a setup like mine now. They said that 0 gauge would be much better than 4 gauge and thats what I thought too.

you'll still need the 1 guage wire. the orion has 2 4 guage inputs. it's basically like wiring 2 amps. you have 2 power inputs, 2 ground inputs, remote and speaker. run the 1/0 guage to a fused distro block, then 2 4 guage out to the amp. same with ground except the distro does not need to be fused.

So to answer my question...NO I CANNOT JUST RUN 0 GAUGE WIRE TO THE POWER LIKE I DID BEFORE WITH MY AUDIOBAHN A1300HCT(with 4 gauge instead of course)?

u confused the shat out of my ice...

What else will I need to get or get rid of? I have currently

4Gauge power wire

150fuse

4gauge ground wire

remote wire

&

18 feet of 0 ga. Custom Pro Red Power Wire

3 feet of 0 ga. Custom Pro Black Ground Wire

1- Gold Plated PRO-style ANL Fuse Holder with 250 Amp ANL fuse

17 feet of 18 ga. Amplifier Remote Turn-on Wire

1- Gold Plated Machined Ring Terminal with Cover

1- Gold Plated Super Surface Contact Grounding Terminal

i dunno people...2500 watts and 4 gauge just doesnt sound right to me. I would still use the 1 gauge wire and just trim it. The orion has direct connects anyways right? Its easy.
1/0 ---> Distro (2) 4ga outputs ---> Orion 2500d

2500d has (2) 4ga power inputs...

yea that sounds good. I think all u need is a power distro that has 3 1/0 input/outputs.

This is the one i have.

I would do the main power line to that in 0 gauge, and the wiring for the orion amp in 0 gauge also. Save the 4 gauge for ur 2 or 4 channel amp for ur inside speakers.
