Yes, that is correct that it applies to the Japanese. They were the first ones to start it. But did you know that many other Asian countries have adapted this mentality. Boy, you just don't know. Fortune cookies always struck me as odd. It's an american invention why are they so popular? Along with any dish you get in a shitty chinese restaurant. All dishes made for americans not real authentic ones. Guess it's just like italians and pizza. Pizza over here is totally different.
