no not if they are legal. it is a federal firearms law. transporting a weapon to anyone but an FFL constitutes gun trafficing. The reason for the ffl is to have them confirm you are 1) over 21

2) have a concealed weapons permit or wait the 5 business days

3) have not been convicted of a felony or dishonrably discharged from the military.

my gf's dad has a S&W .357. her stepdad just bought a taurus .44 mag. but after going shooting with him i am definitly a fan of the kimber 1911 .45 autos. here mom bought him this one for xmas

that one is just plain badass. my family is pretty into guns. i wanted something to play with that was inexpensive, and i just happened to see a ruger 22/10 40th anniversay, and i couldnt pass that up. my next one, probably next month or the month after, is going to be a remington 11-87 premier super magnum.

i dont know, kimber makes excellent guns, my dad loves his. but for the price i'd rather have a springfield armory custom XD. not to mention they resale for higher from what i hear

i dont worry about resale value. i buy a gun for me, to enjoy and for value other than monetary. if it is a good gun, i dont have any problems putting up the money for it. kimber is kind of the cadillac of .45 autos.
