I have killed every plant I have ever had, bought one of those chinese bamboo things last week because the chinese lady told me it is impossible to kill.

Screw a orchid. If they are as fragile as you say that would be a pain in the ***. If I had to pick a plant to grow in my house I would pick a cactus. No way you could possibly kill a cactus. If I did try to grow a cactus and it died, I would probably just kill myself, since thats means that my care would have been worse than a barren desert.
