My tweets were similar but the solid color was the positive (+) and the one with the black stripe is the negative (-)...again, as long as you hook them up the same on both sides you will be fine.

lol at the people on this forum that think the white wire in home wiring can't doesn't carry twice the juice as the hot. neutral is the return for up to two circuits in home and three in commercial panels. op, stripe should be negative.

 
Battery pop it? Take a AA battery and hook it up to the speaker. If the speaker pops out, then you're in phase. If it sucks in, then you're 180 degrees out of phase.

What tweeter is it? Sorry if i missed it. SHouldnt it be marked on the tweeter somewhere? Sorry again if I am missing something. I just recently installed my comps and they were marked where the wires were connected to the tweeter
