i would say you will be fine with 2 red tops, but as far as the altenator goes is it stock or not. im not sure how well the altenator will hold out if its stock. i would think of a better altenator and maybe just one red top that is what i went with and i have one 1600 watt amp and a 200 watt amp and im doing just fine. not to mention the 1600 watt is class A/B and they are known for taking more power than usual to push them.

yellow tops are deep cycle and hold a solid current longer than reds, also can killed and recharged lots of times where the red will start loosing power after it dies a couple times

if it was me a red and a yellow would do the best

Yeah, they're a starting batt. So what? Like I said, if you are not running the system with the car off (which you shouldn't do unless you have to anyway) you don't need the deep cycle capability of the Yellow top. The lower ESR and better transient response to current demand are better suited to helping out an alt with the car running. Since you aren't deep discharging, why pay the extra for the deep cycle battery which isn't needed, and why not get a battery better suited for the task asked of it?

i cooked 3 red tops in my days (better than a reg battery) but if you are goning to be spending 100+ get a yellow for 20 more dollars at autozone still starts the car...optima isnt my first choice (lol) but it isnt a bad choice
