Optima yellow top with xs power 3400

Just wondering if it is bad to mix the two batteries together. As in having a optima yellow top under the hood, and to have a xs power 3400 in the rear / trunk area. Never added a second battery before and don't know of I should get another yellow top which I don't really wanna buy optimas anymore, or if it would not be a problem to have the xs power in the rear. Would be all 'one circuit' if that's the correct term. Looking to power a dc 2.0 k in a 2001 grand cherokee limited 4.7L
