How old are the optimas? Can I use 1 to replace my battery under the hood?

they're pretty big to go under the hood.... These are from the commercial line of Optimas. YOu might have to modify your battery tray a bit. Here's some specs.

As for their age.... I really dont know. None of the date stickers are lifted out of the top. They are resting nice and high voltage wise especially for not being charged AT ALL in the last 2 months.

*edit* some of the date stickers are missing but it is impossible to tell which ones are the right ones. One battery isn't missing any except for it's November sticker, no year though.....

No idea on their age? how long have you been using them? you the first owner? I really can't buy unless I get a fair idea about the age.

I got them from my boss' friend who works at a battery company. They were used when I got them but they were put on a digital load tester and passed. I used them for about 6 months on an Incriminator IA 20.1 at 1 ohm always with the car running.
