which would be a better buy between 12" Alpine Type R 1500w or MB Quart 15" 1400w? I've heard good things about both. anyone have any experience with either?

these are what i'm looking at:

MB Quart 15"

Alpine Type R

i'm looking to match w/e one i get with either:

Sony XM-D9001GTR

or

Boss CH-3000D

any opinions on those?

dont look at max only look at the continous power a sub can take i'e the type r i believe is 500rms so find a good amp that does 500-700rms

well, the type r's are 500w rms and the mb quart is 700w rms, and both of those amp's claim to put out over 700rms. which is the best buy between the amps and between the subs?

so for the two R's you'd preferibly want a 1000 watt amp, but i've heard they can take a little more, I would go type R's, but do not put over 1500 watts. that's pushin them pretty hard

just something else you may want to look into for 1500 watts would be kicker CVX's, there combined rms is 1500 with both, so it would pair up perfect

my vote is for the mb quart. I love their sound and that inverted surround is sexy. i say don't go with either of those amps. you may be able to find something on hear for a little bit more, or look into something like profile and sometimes you can find powerbass for pretty cheap. if you're stuck on one of the two, go for the sony.
