Opinion on Steering column Locks. Need response ASAP

I was thinking about adding a steering column lock to my security system i

already have a very sensitive high dollar alarm but just dont want to chance it

because a few friends that have the same type of car have had their cars stolen

recently would this be a big hassel for a car thief. Need response ASAP
