openions about a infinite baffle

A ported DD 9500 series and an IB setup are completely different ends of the spectrum...so either you're going to have to change your listening habits drastically or you'll be blowing subs left and right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya I want more of an sq setup

I've only run IB in my home theater and the sound was VERY good. But compared to a low tuned ported enclosure output was down considerably. IB also lacked "punch" compared to the ported box, but was good for LFE. Ported box was 2 15's and IB was 4 15's.

I'd expect very accurate sounding bass and a lot less output compared to your current set up.

if you go with bigger woofers you still will have your trunk back because they need no box and you still need to seal it off good no matter what. I would go for 12's or 15's IB instead. More cone area wold help get way more output. 8 or 10 in IB just is not enough if you are coming from that. I have heard a few IB but so long ago I always thought they were so weak but now I realize how clean they were.

If you can find a strong enough sub that correctly fits the trunk size you have, you would be surprised with the output you can get.

Its not easy and a lot of work to seal every possible point off to create a true IB setup, but from my experience, well worth it.

I used several different subs, some were fairly week output wise, yet I also had good success output wise with others.

All in all, the sq was great, and sub depending the output can still be there.

i got 2 ed 9kv.2's in my rear deck,on 3/4" mdf baffles, didnt modify the hole yet,so its blowing thru the 6x9 hole.

had to turn the amp way down, dont sound bad,but i still want more.so i'm going to add 2 more.

i'm going to redo my rear deck, mount all 4 from the top after the rear deck gets deadened, and try that.

in i.b. the speaker can usually hold alot less power.

nismo14 has a big review in the sub section i think, where he reviewed abunch of 8's in his rear deck.
