So I need two more 15" L7. At crutchfield and most other places they run around 550 each. I see onlinecarstereo.com has them brand new but the 2006 model instead of the 2008 for less than half that price. My current ones are the 2006 so that doesnt matter to me. My rep at crutchfield tells me they are not an authorized dealer and I will get no warranty from kicker. What are your thoughts and experiences on this?

onlinecarstereo as well as ikesound are good places to buy from ive done many transactions with them. A warranty you may get just have to read up on the site for the info or contact the staff.. hope it helps

I look at it this way.... You can buy FOUR subs for the price that TWO will cost you at Crutchfield. What are the chances that you will destroy both of them within a year anyhow? Even if you did blow them, you could buy two more and be right at the price Crutchfield would have charged you.

i ordered from online car stereo and had no problems, its up to you when it comes down to it really tho.. crutchfield isnt cheap and so fa ri've never had a problem with any piece of equipment sent to me from anywhere, unless it was my fault and warranty wouldnt be covered anyyway

one thing you gotta remember is something i learned from the dealership i work for, for every upset customer he tells 10 of his friends his experience. For every happy customer he will tel only 2 of his friends... moral of the story is people are more motivated to let ppl know about thier experience when it is negative. so i find it kinda hard to put full faith in review websites cause most of the time if you have a good experience you leave it at that. How many of you ppl have gone and writen something good about a internet company after you got what you paid for?

i would say that if you order from onlinecarstereos.com you should order by phone. while on the phone with them you make sure they have the items you desire in stock. i've ordered from them online to find that the headunit i wanted was out of stock.

ordering from crutchfield should give you warranty on the items you get cause the place only sells items that they are authorized to. which in terms makes them an authorized dealer(i would think so).

I dont really know what to say about online car stereo. I have bought plenty from there and never had an issue. A few times they called me to let me know that they were out of stock of something, they then sent me the next step comparable product. Customer support was great. Shipping was fast, prices were good.

That was about 2 years ago though, so alot could have changed.

mostly now I shop at woofersetc, they have a much better selection IMO.

Ok, so upon the advice of some here I just called them to see if the items I ordered were in stock. My Kicker subs were and my pioneer amps for highs were. They were out of the decent 3.5's I ordered as well as any other good ones so they removed them from the order. The 6x9's I ordered were no longer made, so they changed them to another model they had in stock and said everything would ship out today. The lady I spoke to in customer service was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed. Now I just keep my fingers crossed for good working products when they arrive. I will update on the working of everything when it arrives and gets tested.

I ordered a few things form them and had no problems.. They did not have 1 item I ordered in stock so I called them and actually the girl I talked to ended up giving me a discount herself on the phone. Who or why would I complain.. She actually saved me over $100 on my order and I have since ordered from her again and she gave me $20 off the last order. 206 or 209 can't rem and can not find paperwork...

very true

its kinda sad how ppl are always quick to say something bad

edit: and i should correct my previous post, i did get one bad item sent to me once form madisound, but they sent me a replacement the day i called them without me even having to send them the broken one

My experience witht Onlinecarstereo was horrible and i never tried them again. The lady with the thick accent was so rude to me that i wanted to call her a beitch the entire time she was yapping at me.
