because my dad was being a ***** and trying to tell me how to spend my money and i did some research and people said the amp puts out rated at 14.4volts which my truck does 14.4volts so it would suit me well. everyone said the amp wasnt bad only bad thing was they were rated at 14.4volts not 12v
So is the amp really blown or do you just not want it because you know there is better out there? I've been where you are just wanting a little bang in the ride at any cost. We all have. Hell now I research down to the speaker wire. I wanted to use something other than Maxxonics stuff in my current setup. I say a little more time with researching/upping your budget would do wonders man.

I'm not sure how much flex you were expecting out of a 10" but I hope not much.

the speaker out blew, its fused on the 0g, then on the distroblock, and the amp is fused. how the hell is the speaker out going to burn up just from playing it 10-15min...?
Not having the correct electrical support maybe......combined with the fact you probably had your gain all the way up.

ya I will call; user error on this one.

I had a bxi1605 never had a problem with it, and I even sparked the ground/power wire together while in the amp on accident. Still worked, and as far as I know its still floating around with a member here on ca.

I don't understand that -- your truck "does" 14 volts so you were reluctant to go with an amp that was not rated at 12 volts? Sorry, but I just don't follow.

you guys are retarded...

bassboost 0

gains set with dmm to 34.6 volts (square root of 1200 because it was running at 1ohm)

was between a quarter and half...

the **** blew, it *****, **** hifonics and all that ****. just went to my bank and submitted a complaint thing. trust me if it was user error id take the warranty because he already offered be a new one or store credit but it wasnt its just shitty ass product

i did buy it cause i wanted bump... it is blown... research isnt the problem everyone said there was nothing wrong with the bxi series just they are rated at 14.4 volts instead of 12v like other companies. 3 of my friends run hifonics, the bxi 600, 1600, and 2000.... none of them have problems. **** the kid with the bxi 600 has to hifonics brutus subs. its just defected or w\e the **** the problem is, and they are being difficult and just wont give my money

probably got the gain turned waaay up. Also remember this is just a 2 ohm stable amp. Make sure your subs are wired for a 2 ohm load on the amp...
