Online places to buy dist blocks?

one is for ground and one is for power for 2 amps, so a single 1/0 in and 4 4ga out wont work. I guess I don't really need a fused block for power, but I thought it would add some safety in fusing each amp at the dist block. (btw its 2 dei 1100d amps)

I will try sounddomain and knukonceptz Thanks guys!

You could also get another block and have all the 4 gauge grounds connect to a 1/0 gauge ground
That is what I am going to do (which is why I need 2 blocks that are (1)1/0 and (2)4ga)

Also the power wire would of course have a fuse at the battery, but I just figured that it would add extra safety to fuse each amp separately at the dist block also.

It's _highly_ unlikely that you'll burn any wire that you use... in fact, I bet you could try using 18 guage wire to power an amp and the wire isn't going to warm up. It may be a lot tougher for the current to get through it though. Have you ever looked at how big that wire is in your fuse? What would you call that, 18, 16 guage? It can handle a lot of current before it heats and blows. It's kind of amusing to me that people buy 0 1 guage for "better flow" while the fuse handles all that without problem.

All you need is one fuse, if things go uber wrong, you know which fuse broke. If it makes you feel safer, you can put as many fuses as you want, you'll just have that many more places to check if a fuse blows.

You also realize that a fuse is only about 1-3 inches long if that and power wire can be over 20 ft long easily? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif Someone else explain this one in detail please...

Of course I realize that, hence the rest of the post. But all this fusing is really unneccc... it's just there to blow in the event that something causes a short behind the battery. It's not meant to save your equipment (amps have internal fuses to protect their innards/keep it from flaming if you short/overdraw them), it's there to save your life if a collision crunches your gas tank against the 12v wire you strung through your car.

Also, to answer the first post:

Thezeb.com has plenty of lighning audio type of distro blocks. $7 flat shipping rate for pretty much everything. They aren't fancy looking by far, but they'll clamp down your wires and hold fuses just fine.

Ground:

GD3 Distribution Block - two 1/0AWG inputs, three 4AWG outputs $14.99

Power:

Audiobahn

A2ANLQ ANL Distribution Block - One 1/0 AWG in, Two 4 AWG out $34.99

Ok, I see that the general consensus is that a fused dist block is NOT needed, so I guess I will not use one. It'll save me a little cash in the process too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
