Sold **One item per thread**

Per the admin there is only to be one item per sale thread. Any thread that has been already made will be allowed to stay, but from this moment on any new thread with more then one item will be deleted.

I never sold anything on here but I think the one item per thread is a bad idea. There will be to many for sale post. I like the idea of picture and price better!

Instead of:

Pm me with offers.

Send pic's to me.

pic to me too

How much?

With the picture and price you know whats being offered, what condition its in and how much the seller wants. A lot less hassle!

I like the idea of seperate groups for sub, amp etc.

I also like the idea of name and model number HAS to be in title. Not re sub or Alpine deck.

This is fine for selling 1 or 2 things. But if you have multiple items you couldn't fit all the model #s in the title.

Hey, what about having the classified forum broken into SUB-forums.. have (for example)
Subwoofers/Speakers

Amplifiers

Head Units

Accesories

than make it one item per thread, that way if your looking to buy and amp, go to the amp secion, see all the organized products for sale infront of you.

make it so the thread title is just the product.. add New or Used or w/e too.. That way we dont have a forum completely filled with "EVERYTHING I OWN MUST GO" or "Lots of stuff f/s" THAT is what makes it hard to navigate what is for sale.

its been suggested in the backroom but most mods think its a horrible idea. i think its a good idea tho. im an organization freak also. so who knows.

I agree with most people in that there are already a ton of for sale threads as it is, diversifing the forum will help.

The idea is to stop dealers right ?

Lol, I still think it's a good idea the only negative I see with it someone already mentioned, ppl that can't post in the right section. I think that happens no matter what though. Then the 1 post per thread wouldn't seem as bad.

x1000 on the sub category idea.. I don't think it would help to deter dealers, but it would definately help to keep things a little more organized and easier to find..

Of course you couldn't, but at least use this method as a guideline.. The 'I'm Selling Everything I Own' titles are a little frustrating and often misleading..

you can, click this button

then you enter why your reporting the thread, then an email is sent to all mods who will then promptly take care of the post as soon as they are able to.

Technically, it's not a "change". The rule has been here about as long as the classifieds section has. Just something that has never been strictly enforced according to the Admin's definition of the term "multiple item ad".

Anyways, my thoughts on the subject, as most of the mods already know:

It is a little ludicrous to expect someone to make on thread per item, considering I myself have sold more than 5 items at one time before. And I know I sure as hell wouldn't have wanted to start one thread per item. And I really don't want to try to mod 10 threads from one member because the guy is clearing out his closet. If you think the classifieds are busy now....just imagine what would happen if everyone started one thread per item.

I honestly think we need a revamp of the definition. It seems most of the mods agree that the rule's definition should be to the selling of a quantity or bulk of items rather than only allowing one item per for sale thread.

Just my .02. I really think the idea of a seperate listing will just be too many ads. The forum moves so fast now that your post can be on page 2 in a couple of hours. And I do not know how many people scan past page 1 or 2 in their browsing. I think there would be a lot more "ttt" posts and things like that.

I love the idea of breaking down the classifieds per category. I think that would be a great setup.

Again, just another member who loves to buy and sell.

The idea is horrible, for all the reasons previously listed and there will be so many old threads brought up...ice said there are old ones coming up now well times that by 5 items per person then there will be not one but 5+ old threads linger about...or if the mods would just look an say hey this is from 2001-2005 then its probably not for sale any longer, or if it stays inactive for 15-30days get rid of it. I also however like the mini section idea within the classified section so you can go straight to what your looking for.
