but my 2 cents on this thread...if you cheat on the same person, i dont think you should expect them to trust you again. if you did it once, whats to say your not going to do it again?
if its with a different person, theres still nothing saying you wont do it again, but they might not know that, since it hasent happened to that person before (from you at least)

IF some one has cheated on you:
a) there is no substance in the relationship or you have a false sense of security in your relationship ex) you have bugs to kink out but never do, not fully compatible. So then refer to (b)
b) they dont have the moral barriers in stoping themselves from cheating so they will do it again.
Even though its hard to let go of some one even if they cheated on you... well they have done it for a reason and something has to be done about it to fully adress the horrible sham of a relationship you have or say goodbye to her/him. If some one could actually cheat on you or think of doing it ( with an x or anyone else) there is no excuse and they are not worth your time.

Propensity for cheating is determined by the substance, or lack thereof, within the relationship, permiscuity of the person in question, feelings with regard to commitment and options. If a guy has a bunch of girls on the side, doesn't care about his partner and is permiscious, I'd be willing to bet that he'd cheat on his partner as a way of dumping her, especially since he can just find someone else to have *** with or to be with fairly easily.

i've cheated once, would never do it again. so i guess the answer is no. once a cheater always a cheater saying is not always correct.

it depends on how the person is....some will only cheat at earlier stages of their lives some will always cheat even when they're 80 years old
