On axis?

What does this mean and what does it look like? Could someone make me a paint pic? I'm using 4 tweeters if someone could do it with that many. I thought it was the tweets pointed at the intended listener at an angle, but someone told me it was having the tweeter from one side pointed to the person across from them. I'm a little lost.

Imagine a straight line jetting out from the center of the cone...that is the axis. If that imaginary line is pointed at the listener, that speaker would be on axis to the listener. A coaxial has the tweeter & the woofer sharing the same axis...hence the name.

Don't use 4 tweets if you care at all about "SQ". Multiple sources playing the same frequencies will wreck any sense of imaging & create comb filters that'll make loud volumes unpleasant.
