Holy hell man! I'm sorry that happened that's insane! I'm guessing infection caused the necessitation of amputation?

No, no infection, it just didn't take, end of my thumb just died, turned white and so it had to be removed, besides it was never gonna work right again anyways the bone was completely vaporized, tendons severed and ended up in the ball of my hand, I can still feel them...

shit happens, been woodworking since jr high(25+ years)...My advice is to always use a guard and wear some type of safety gloves...never hurts to be extra safe...And never think that something like this can't happen to you, I thought like that for 25 years...I am real lucky because it could have been my whole hand or ???...

Wow. We had a guy at my job turn the tip of his finger into hamburger meat a few months ago with the table router. He kinda ran out into the hallway, spun around a few times, and ran off towards the bathroom.
