OMFG what to do?

:confused:what american manufacturer is better?
there are good American manufacturers now?

But to answer your question, how about one that actually turn a profit. Or perhaps lose less money than Chevy. And why limit it to just American manufacturer? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

because, at least until 2004, foreign manufacturers were miles better. i don't know much about the newer models mechanically, but i snow plowed for 2 years in the same chevy and no othere model made it through 1 season. not 1. 23 out of 25 chevy's are still used in the company since 2004. some having 300,000 heavy working miles on them. good larger trucks. there smaller trucks, not so good.

are you on a different planet? 1)no co-signer 2)18 years old 3)limited credit history. just those 3 factors rule out any decent interest rate. probably rule out most banks even giving him a loan. be smart with your money
I borrowed at 14% with my first car loan. Of course I used a balance transfer to a 0% CC and paid it off within the allotted year. But yes, 21% is high.

Turn a profit when? I can name entire decades where foriegn cars piled on losses.

in colorado, 21% is the standard for higher risk loans. i'm at 9%, but i got a co-signer that has absolutely insane credit.

You're the one that posted about high insurance rates... AND you have to borrow the money?
The ***** Am isn't worth it.
Indeed... Can't afford the insurance or the car...

girls that digg classic cars are crazy hott:D
Which ones that aren't paid or acting?

Maybe it is me but there are 2 type of guys that I usually see driving ***** AMs.

1. Guys who are trying to impress other guys. "LOOK AT MY CAR"

2. Gay guys who are trying to impress other guys. "Oh sexy look at my car"

Getting a ***** Am really is a bad choice dude. I'm not trying to hate or anything, but you should probably take a step back and seriously think about what you are doing. We've all been 18 before and wanted the cool car, but it's not worth it.

Indeed... You want a fast car that the chicks will dig and you can get cheap.

Find a used Police Interceptor. Mine is a 95 with 168k miles and it still runs like a champ. Minus the break leak, thanks to going sideways at 60MPH in a field.

You are only young once get into debt now while you still can!

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen...

I know exactly what I am getting myself into. I am working 2 jobs over the summer until school starts, at the end of summer I should average around 8200 after taxes. Thats more than enough for me to either A pay off the ***** am, or B make the payments, insurance, with extra. I have no problem affording this vehicle. The blazer got 11.6MPG as of yesterday, thats 174miles on a 15 gallon tank. I would be shocked if the ***** am isnt higher. Hell, Id be happy with 13mpg because thats higher than the blazer.
it's possible. a few million 18 year olds said that and over spent, just making payments, to find themselves at 21 in a high mileage muscle car worth nothing on a trade in. that's just normal 18 year olds. maybe you'll actually be one of the few that pays it off.

Ive never made late payments on anything, never spend more than I have. Im pretty smart as far as financial decisions go and I do my fair share of researching. Plus the car has a ****ing LS1. What more could you want?
i like the car. i'm just warning you that just making payments doesn't always mean a good situation. if you get a high risk loan, alot of your payment is interest. you'll end up with a ***** am with 250,000 miles on it, worth 1500 on a trade in, only you owe 3500 on the loan still. negative equity is not good. it won't sink you, but it really sucks.

as a former dumbass that bought a sports car(rx7) at an early age and got screwed with the insurance and car payments($650 month) i would highly advice you to buy a $2k car since you have $2k

you will appreciate not having a car payment much more than you will having a sports car in 6 months

this is why i drive my P5 now, i had 10.5k cash to spend and the car cost that much when i bought it and full coverage insurance is only $385 per 6 months

i had 280Z. still haven't dug out.

i traded in that rx7 for a del sol. i totalled the del sol a few years later, but luckily i had built some equity so i got $5k from insurance

what did i do? went and bought another rx7:)

this time i paid cash though and by that time my insurance was half the price it was with my first rx7

i hate bills, i have a total of two bills per month and that is rent and cell phone. otherwise just a bi-yearly insurance payment and a yearly renters insurance payment
