OMFG what to do?

at 18 i was able to get that kind of loan with my vehicle as collateral and a down payment. all im saying is it doesnt hurt to check into it. and even if he did get a high interest rate, he could always pay it for a year and then refinance at a lower rate later.

get a grandparent to sign with you
w0rd thats what I done. I was in the same boat. The only problem is what year is the ***** am? They only give you a car loan if the vehicle is like less than 7 years, or you have really good credit. I Found my altima, they wanted $5500 for it, I had $1500, i went to the bank requested a loan for $4000 my parents have shitty credit, my grandma has excellent credit, she co-signed I walked out with a check. Got to the dealer, talked him down to $5000 used the $500 and added another couple to it and made a hell of a good first payment. My credit is pretty good now. I still owe like $2000 on the car tho, mainly because my insurance expired and I had to pay fines for not having the vehicle covered.

Thats another thing to consider, when getting a loan on a vehicle, you will have to get full coverage, so just a heads up. You will be paying out the *** for a sports car at 18

this kind of thinking is why foreclosures are the highest in history. anyone can get a loan. only a fool pays $12000 for an $8000 car. then later when you go to trade it in, you owe 5000 more than it's worth.
