""thats certian but as an expert in car audio i would strongly recommend a ported box. why? because a regular cab truck doesnt have much airspace for the heavy base and big sound to bounce around. therefore you simply dont hear it. the ported box will shoot the air out of the hole on the side and deliver the sound that you are looking for. i also have a kicker L7 and i went with the 750/1 mono amp it delivers true 750 watts.(jbl is known for lieing about the power of thair amp regardless of what it says on the amp, they get away with it by calling it the "787 watt series") i would recommend a capacitor, not necissary but it will build up the power and shoot it to your amp, this way the amp can give the sub the kind of power that it can push, a regular car battery will not give you half the power that this monster sub demands.""
