Omega 15 vs RE XXX 15

Ok, I know you all hate vs threads, but I am mostly just wanting some kind of input from everyone on this.

I am seriously considering both of these candidates.

First is the RE XXX has always gotten good reviews, has been a monster for a while. I am looking at the 07 model, the split coil not the XBL^2 one.

Second is the Omega by cascade designs. I haven't heard these or had any experience with these. The price point is a bit better, but I am worried it might be a bit too SPL oriented for me in my setup.

What I am going for is basically something that will get stupid loud off of 3k as well as sound decently good while doing it. Although the sense of sounding good at that level seems a bit stupid to me. I am getting a RD 3250.1 so the 3k will be on tap. I just need something daily and not too SPL oriented that won't struggle to hit the lowest of the lows and then when some higher notes come around, will tackle them with incredible accuracy.

Any other drivers as suggestions would be appreciated, but when it comes to these two, what is your suggestion.

Two different type of subs, 1's SQ 1's SPL bro.. but i've herd the omegas can get stupid loud and sound good doing it. Same with XXX. So I guess tough call.

Out of the two I was never impressed by the XXX. But on the other hand from what I have seen of the omega I have liked them. There are a few owners of the omega that can give you a better description.

But IMO Omega>XXX

I was able to discern that from the specs between the two, but the thing is, when you are hitting 3k, it gets a bit hard to find something that isn't SPL oriented. The biggest thing I think for me is the price point of the Omega, plus it is just **** sexy. Not to say the RE isn't because it is, but the Omega is just different with CF cone and dust cap, as well as the different design on the basket.

Ya omegas are very nice subs and proven themselfs, I'd go with them. It would be a nice choice and theres 2 sets for sale rightnow some 12's and 15's you could get a nice deal on either.

Omega. They are nice accurate woofers. Sound good and get loud.

For a decent amount of SQ and 3000 watts I would recommend a Nightshade.
