Ok, what now?

Ok, I've still got a little bit of noise with my radio. Ive got the RCA's as far away from the power cables as possible (opposite sides of the car) and grounded them as good as i can get (a substantial bare metal part of the car's frame).

I dont have any noise when i take the face plate off but as soon as i attach it, the noise starts and its just enough to aggravate me.

I've got a noise filter thing and plugged it in at the amp and it didnt help at all, in fact i think it made it worse. Would hooking it up at the radio make any difference? Any other suggestions?

Give it a try. Whats the worst that could happen?

I've always grounded my head units in the same place I ground everything else in my system. The trunk. It has always worked for me but that doesn't mean it works for everyone. Different vehicles have different results.

Try grounding the outer shield of the RCA's at the HU. It's been known to help. See http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198477

Thats what i did. And it helped alot but not enough.
