Once you're over a certain level, ratio means nothing. Example: many noobs might have ratios of 5 or 6 because they've uploaded 10 gigs and only downloaded 2 or so. This type of ratio is less important than what someone like Gauntlet has which is near a terabyte up, and hundreds of gigs down which gives him a ratio only a hair above 1.
