i've got about 80 gigs, mostly full albums, a few movies, and i dont download much anymore, but i like all the high bitrate files on oink. i was a member about a year ago but after i went to my new computer i didnt bother downloading for a while and when i tried to go back forgot my user name and password.

i dunno man, the specifically state dont invite people who were previous members... you can try emailing them?

If you have tried to login to the site only to be told that your information is not valid, and when you have tried to recover your password you have been told that your email address is no longer in the system, your account may have been deleted for inactivity (non-donors and non-power users are deleted after 6 weeks of inactivity). If this is the case, the staff cannot help you and you will need to get a new invite in order to use the site. Once again, do not join this channel hoping for an invite.

I'm lookin at it right now which parts should I get? I just typed in Rosetta and am looking at the results right now.

i used my adelphia email before, i dont have adelphia any longer, so it won't be the same email or ip address in any case. don't see how they would know i was a previous member, if they do have some policy forbidding that.

I've had oink for almost a week now. I'm trying to get my ratio up but no one will freakin download from me. I've only uploaded 80.9MB and I've downloaded 1.49GB. I know I have till 5gigs to do something but shit, this is taking forever to get my ratio up.

For quite a while my ratio was really crappy as well.

Then slowly but surely my ratio started to climb as I downloaded more popular albums and left my utorrent open.

That's what you have to do. Leave utorrent open 24-7 with all the torrents that you have downloaded so you keep seeding.

then in utorrent you can select which files to download or none at all, quick click none at all, then manually select the spanish files, or jap, or korean , or whatever you are interested in learning

rosetta stone is like the most popular file on the entire site

theres a good reason everythings high bit rate, better quality.

if you're email and ip have already been registered, you're not allowed back on unless you can get a hold of the admins.

they will ban the new account.

just go to browse, find the ones with the highest amount of leechers and low seeders.

no they advice against that, just download what YOU like...

it took me 2-3 weeks before i went into the positives, then it takes off by itself

i just happend to notice after i downloaded the spanish pack i went from like 2 gigs to 4 gigs served in like a day or 2

Sounds to me like his account was closed due to inactivity.

It is ok to invite him back. If you are unsure about it, you can always PM a moderator and send the potential invitee's email addy and they can check to see if the person was kicked off the site or if his account was canceled for inactivity.
