I wish I would've started charging for invites now.
Thanks for the invite mang... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Whaaaah..... we got busted for breaking the law.
Buy content you fawking leeches.
I download it, then if I like it I'll go buy it...

if 18 songs costs 200k what do you think 5gigs will run? or like 500+ gig in some peoples cases?
I seriously doubt that the will go after many end users. The might go after the big boys just to make a point. But,there are WAY too many people on there for them to make a case on everyone...

Uh... you haven't been paying much attention have you?

They rarely have to actually make a case, just send out thousands of threat letters. Most people just cave and pay the proposed settlement.

It doesn't cost much to have an attorney draft a form letter and postage is still less than fifty cents.

Well, people are stupid if they cave in. I say bring them on if they want to try. I'll go Rambo on their ***** before I pay them any bloody money...

How many members were there anyway?

yeah. they sued some poor, fat, diabetic, Indian lady and won a quarter million bucks... this was just a couple of weeks ago.

Its not like they will ever collect it all, but that unlucky bish will have her wages garnished for the rest of her life.

NONE of these download sites are safe guy, I'm surprised everyone didn't know that already. If they bag the server... they have your information. They get you MORE for sharing than for downloading... sounds like with this Oink service you pretty much had to upload (ratio) to get anything. Is that correct?

BMG Music FTW... I pay like 5-7 dollars shipped per CD averaged out. Not worth the risk to download when it's so cheap, especially with these guys out to bust people so hard these day!

One of the worst wake-up messages I've ever gotten.

I wish there had been a significant clue because I would have *****d the hell out of that site the last week or so. I had a lot of buffer I could have used up.

Yup, thats the plan... they will be garnishing her meager wages for the rest of her life.

she had the option of settling for $3,000 iirc.

Turned it down and fought...

lost big time.

In the end she will end up paying like $10,000 for the song 'the rhythm is going to get you"

the rhythm indeed got her.

The next optimal move is for her to become a ********** or some other form of pay to hide wages.

if the riaa comes after you, its really just better to cough up the $3,000 and call it a day.

They have hundreds of lawyers and millions of dollars and the ability to purchase laws written in their favor.

Stealing music just isn't worth it.

They will be limited by the amount of lawsuits they can do.

They cannot sue everyone.

Wal-Mart faced this issue when dealing with theft. They are not allowed in many cities to prosecute all shoplifters due to court injunctions
