whats the differnece between 8 ohm 4 ohms.i know something about how much ressentance the subwoofer has or what ever i just want some one to make it clearer.the subs are kicker solo baric s10d.

It's the measurement of electical resistance. Basically if ohmage doubles then it takes 2x as many watts to perform the same task. So 150 watts at 8ohms=300watts at 4, 600 at 2x, 1200 at 1, 2400 at .5,etc,etc,etc. So if you have a sub that runs at 8 ohms and it's RMS is 300 watts you wanted to pair it up with an 4ohm stablel amp, it would have to be 600 watts at 4 ohms to give the correct wattage at 4 ohms.
