ohms...

It's the measurement of electical resistance. Basically if ohmage doubles then it takes 2x as many watts to perform the same task. So 150 watts at 8ohms=300watts at 4, 600 at 2x, 1200 at 1, 2400 at .5,etc,etc,etc. So if you have a sub that runs at 8 ohms and it's RMS is 300 watts you wanted to pair it up with an 4ohm stablel amp, it would have to be 600 watts at 4 ohms to give the correct wattage at 4 ohms.
