ohms vs distortion

yeah i wouldn't mind gettin a 1500 per hdc3 15. but daisy chaining would draw alot more wouldn't? and i don't know too much about daisy chaining amps

You would just be strapping both amps together. It is a similar concept to when you bridge a 2 channel amplifier, except you are just doing it with two amplifiers. Each amp will see 1/2 the load, hence the reason most one ohm stable amps will strap at a 2 ohm final load.

word and 2 ohms would sound "better" (tighter, more focused) then a 1 ohm load?
No. Assuming the amplifier was competently designed to run a given load, there's no audible difference between varying imepdance loads (other than possible power differences).

Also, there wouldn't be a difference between "2ohm" on a strapped pair of 1500D's and "1ohm" running one sub to each 1500D's as the end result is the same......each amplifier seeing a net 1ohm load........if that's why you were asking.

yeah thats what i was askin. So would it be ok to just run them separate? not daisy chain them?

then it just seems smarter to run both off of a 3000d. becaus if i were to do it separate, (probably 1, then get another one later) they would be off set, and one would be older then the other. i just think it would be better, (and less hassle) to get the 3000d.

BUT, will you be satisfied with running the SAZ 3000 @ 2 ohms? Do you have the electrical system to support running it at 1/2 an ohm? Lastly, I don't know if it is even officially rated to run at 1/2 ohm. MMATS are the only amp company out there that officially support such low loads.

na, i was gettin a deal on some hdc3 15's, but they were dual 2 (i think)

either way, it could only run at 2 or .5 ohms.

and i don't want to run that low.

1 would be plenty. i don't want to go over 3k watts for subs. 3.5k for whole system
