Ohio Generator alts...anyone use 'em?

Mine is a 200a and with a powermaster xs1200 up front and the big 3 I don't drop below 13.5v at my amp with my setup on full blast.

Did you send them a core? How much did you pay (you can PM me if you don't want to post it).

I got quoted $400 to build mine, and that's almost 50% less than what I was quoted by a couple of these "other compaines" that are so highly rep'd around here.

I think it's a good deal.

I'm going to send them my alt. and he says they can safely wind it to 270 or so.

He definitely knows what he's talking about as he helped me learn a little bit.

From what I understand they are pricey new. I've bought two used Ohio Gen alts. I wasn't that satisfied with the first one but it was over 7yrs old and I was the third owner. But the one I just put in on Friday is amazing so far, I couldn't be happier.

Yeah I've bought both of mine used. The original owner of the one I just bought said it was a little over $500 new. What car do you have?

You can find many alts for around $400. When I looked to buy an alt, Ohio Gen was THE HIGHEST quote i got.

This is for my '00 CLK 430. It uses a stock 150a Bosche alt. I found a used core for pretty cheap and that's what I plan on sending them. He was very familar with what the Bosche's are able to do reliably.

Well...I was quoted $700 by one company, and $600 by another.

Gus and Tom at Ohoi Generator are some of the greatest and nicest people that I have dealt with. I ONLY run their alts. Gus knows what he is doing and will bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied.

I bought a 200a cs130 from ohio gen and it worked great, and Tom and Gus are cool guys I met them in person when I drove out there to pick mine up. Would definately get one from them again.

Had nothing but issues with the one in my Acura Integra , sent it back 4 times to be fixed ! The one in my van works flawlessly , Im at a draw with this company !
