Went through 5 hours of install today in my cramped as focus to leave the driveway and turn it up a little and instantly have my amp go into protect. Its the amp for the speakers btw. So i turn my gains down all the way and the speakers just sound like crap. Like literally, low sound, crackling, sounds like its from outerspace or something lol. So anyways, what do you think i did wrong. Think i have loose connects somewhere? Ughh, Im gonna try swapping all my pos/negs tommorow at the amp b4 i rip my doors off again. Maybe i just switched the polarity making it sound so awful. Anyone got any ideas?

i turned all the gains down before anything. Turned it up to 20/34 and it cut out on me, Turned the gains up just a little, and it blew out in less than 5 seconds.

check your ohm loads w/ a DMM and your ground on your amp

i set it up the same way as last time. And i have a sub too, and when the amp goes out, the sub doesnt, so all i get is bass lol. So id assume its not the ground. And how could the ohms be wrong. I just plugged a speaker in each chan.

wait.............how does ure amp go into protect but ure sub still works???

2 different amps. The speaker amp goes into protect. The sub amp keeps goin

Sounds like you have a slight short somewhere or one of your speakers is blown. That may have damaged your amp as well.

One of the speakers has a cracked connector. But all the connections are intact. But my dad had to solder one of the wires back on... But even with that speaker disconnected it still messes up. It even went into protect before with nothing plugged in. I switched rca's, still the same thing. I resecured my power wire, same thing, then i finally made a new ground. SAME THING. My amp is under warranty.. but id rather not be without music for a few weeks and have to pay them like 40 dollars to ship.
