True, and I get what you're saying, but I have nothing but respect for the people who stay and rebuild.. It's their home...

It's their home, yes, but the taxpayers shouldn't have to subsidize people's stupidity. Or if stupidity is too harsh a word, ignorance.

I really don't care where you build your house, but don't complain to anyone else if you basically dare Mother Nature by building in a floodplain in a hurricane-prone area. No, I wouldn't laugh in their face, but I wouldn't support them rebuilding either. Sorry if I went on a mini-rant here, but it's just something I've been shaking my head at for a while...

Maybe this time they won't rebuild New Orleans. That shithole.
That is the dumbest city in america. who moves back into a city that's below sea level that's already been destroyed once? if it gets destroyed again, I think I will go and laugh in the face of every person who rebuilt, just to get their stuff destroyed again.

I will be right beside you pointing and laughing at the DUMB****S! who REBUILT. I could see if you were in New Orleans where it was flooded, just needed some paneling and roof work, but if your house went from STANDING to a ****ed FOUNDATION, yet you still rebuilt......you deserve to have it happen the exact same way until you get the picture.
