Oh no... big error for tuning frequency...

I already made my box, and i thought the volume was 3.9 cuft. Well i recalculated and its 3.15 cuft. So that causes a freq. change from 35 hz to 43 hz. Is this bad?? Is 43 too high?

depends on what you want from the box its pretty high for SQL tuning

mine is tuned to 32 hz btw

spl = sound pressure level (loud az bass)

sql = mix of sq and spl

ok thanks but that doesnt really answer the important question. What should i do? Sell my subs and box (Audiobahn AW101T 450rms 10") and buy a L7 and build a new box? what would you personally do?

Well... if the box is already built... put the subs in and try it! you might be surprised. I inadvertantly tuned my box to right around 50hz and it still sounds great for daily music. Very efficient, too.

Just because you tune them to a specific frequency doesn't mean your subs will automatically blow...

Well... if the box is already built... put the subs in and try it! you might be surprised. I inadvertantly tuned my box to right around 50hz and it still sounds great for daily music. Very efficient, too.

exept at 66.6Hz...the resonation of that frequency off MDF board melts copper voice coils............
