Been awhile...

Midlife crisis is creeping on. Wife wants to have kids before too long. So I'm going to get back into the system game.

I need a 10, something along the lines of a DD9510 and an amp entirely too powerful for my electrical system to handle therefore driving me to buy a mechman alt and other things.

So I'll be crawling around for awhile looking for gear to pickup. Since it's been so long, there are many companies I just don't know.

When I left, Incriminator was just getting around and RE had just decided to crank their prices through the roof. So any tips and models you suggest, I'll happily take.

Also what websites do people shop on these days? Woofersect used to be worth something. Hell anyone remember something like 'yoshi's 12 volt' circa 2001? They were terrible!

Ahh the snark is alive and well. It's like I never left!

I did notice it's a lot of trading around happening on forums these days. That's good. I would have never had some of my best equipment without that. I'll have to shop around for awhile. No hurry on my end. Just threw a w3v3 in there to inspire better things.

My last setup wasn't great but my boxes were spot on to meet my car's RF (or sub-octave RF as I played dailys)...a 9515 and (let's see if anyone remembers this one) a Better Audio 1600m1. It did the job but I was never able to afford the proper electrical to go with it.

I planning for significantly more mechanical support for this next job.

Find a 4 hp motor and get a ti basket. Customize the cone and soft parts to your liking.

wow joined 2003, welcome back, there are a lot of rebadged amps now, still waiting for a good amp to be rebadged, seems like just the low priced amps are getting rebadged
