No I'm saying that nobody in this thread has even given this guy anything but is outraged and saying he is some huge criminal. DO you know what he got??? You guys could be making a huge deal and he might have only gotten 10ft of wire.... that's all I'm saying.

It is a big deal. Even if he was caught before he accpeted anything of value it would have been a big deal.

The guy came here and repeatedly lied about having a daughter that died. That is a big deal.

The reason he lied about having a daughter that died was to take possession of the property of others. That is a big deal.

All that that proves is if there isn't enough evidence, you can't be proven guilty. It has to be without reasonable doubt, otherwise no crime was committed in the eyes of the law.

Fraud is defined by the legislature and the courts. It includes outright deception, and sometimes almost “accidental” misrepresentation. In some circumstances (like investments) fraud includes failure to disclose or to tell the whole truth.

He didn't steal from anyone... they all gave to him, so if a bank gave you money because they felt sympathy for you and you gave it back, no it's not illegal.

I understand that... but the guy was referring to robbing a bank. This guy never went to anyones house and took anything. Reguardless of the reasons he got the "gifts" stealing would be left up to judgement and can't be proven.

He wouldn't go to jail because it's a misdemeanor due to the small amount of money but he would still be tried and convicted for a crime. You have been arguing he didn't commit a crime.
