**Official NBA thread**

no one wants to comment because the realization has set in that the "dream" series is more boring than spurs vs. pistons
How is a team coming back from a 24 point deficit boring??

The only people that thought the Lakers would win this series in 5 or 6 were the writers. Why? I don't know.

Personally I thought the Pistons/Spurs series was VERY exciting but then again I like defense.

Wow, you want to talk about getting pwnt. That loss has to be more demoralizing than just getting blown out. To have Boston by the throat the whole first half and then getting schooled the 2nd half has to hurt. I don't care who you are.

Yeah Im not even sure what to think to be honest.

Personally I want to see the Celtics repeat. I will say that it will be harder to repeat than it was to win it this past season. For starters they have to win more playoff games on the road. Then it is just a matter of how hungry they are this year as compared to last year. Who knows, maybe they'll win it even more convincingly this year than they did last season. Time will tell, it is a long season.

Given: I have no payed any attention to NBA since last playoffs. Nothing.

I hope the Celtics are hungry, it would be great to see them win again. Back to back will be tough though, and I don't know if they will be hungry enough.

Wow. Just researched my team, the pistons. All I can say is wow.

Nothing has changed. Except now Dumar's expects Curry to motivate the team to win this year. My a s s. He was assistant coach last year, so he's not anything crazy and new. I see the Pistons going to the EC finals, or Finals this year, and losing. For what now, the 5th time? 6th? I don't even remember anymore. It has been the same team since...forever.

what a weird trade for Detroit...Denver got better on paper it would seem...Billups should really help that teams perimeter defense and their leadership, should be interesting to see Melo and a true PG play...Dice man will be heading back to Detroit once the deal is finalized...not sure about draft picks and such, I would assume that Denver gives Detroit at least one 1st...Detroit looking to have about $34million in cap space this next off season, yikes...they are putting a lot of stock in to Stuckey...

Why the hell we have two NBA threads? I like the trade. As you said McDyess will likely end up back in Detroit, so this is basically Billups for Iverson. Stuckey had shown he can run the point. Detroit gets plenty of cap space with Rasheed and Iverson's contract expiring. Both Billups and Iverson are the same age. Iverson gives the Pistons the go to scorer they lacked. At 33 I wonder how effective he will be. Iverson's ability to get in the paint can open up shots for good jump shooters like Hamilton, Rasheed, Prince, and possibly McDyess. Iverson still has the ability to win games himself and I think he would've been extremely helpful in game 6 against Boston. I also thinks this allows Detroit to open up the offense and score in transition.
