**Official NBA thread**

Like I said months ago, these teams with good core defense and good low-post players are built for winning in the playoffs. The top 3 defensive teams in the NBA (Detroit, Boston, San Antonio....in that order) are conference finalists.

I wanted the Hornets to win, but this is the unfortunate reality of the NBA. The Lakers will be hard-pressed to win the Finals; if they do, it's because the league authorized that joke of a trade with Memphis.....

edit: The wild card for San Antonio is still Manu Ginobli, in my opinion; he is so hard to stop once he gets his feet moving and involved on the offensive side...and most importantly, he scores when the shots matter. The Lakers have a very strong starting five, but I'm worried about what happens when they go to the bench or get in foul trouble; I don't have a lot of faith in an offense that would have to rely on Walton, Farmar, Turiaf, Vujacic, etc. Vujacic can shoot the lights out but I don't feel he is really great at making his own offense.

It will be a good series no doubt.

Although I do find it pretty funny that some people arent even giving them a shot. Their bench, like anyone else that is left, can be pretty streaky but they also have a more athletic team than anyone else. Yes I will agree the Memphis trade was a little lopsided, but that will occasionally happen in sports.

Walton is a great passer and pretty good shooter, Farmar played much better in game 7 so I hope that will carry over, Vujacic can shoot the long ball to open up the inside. Tariaf wasnt much of a factor this past series but he can play pretty good d and should hold his own on Duncan.

We will just have to wait and see. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Spurs in 7, 6 if there not tired and take game 1. And taking Pistons in 7 also, then the SPURS to take it all. And i dont want to hear the Spurs won cause of expierence because people were saying expierence aint got nothing to do with it but now that they won that excuse is comming up, just face it the Spurs are good and i happen to enjoy watching them play!!!!!

ok, enough talk about my dick.

BTW i could have sworn thats what others said about the hornets seven games ago

The hornets arent the lakers though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have no doubt it will be a tight series.

How bout them Bulls? They got mighty lucky...
So, do they trade the pick, trade Heinrich and take Rose, or take Beasley?
As of right now I think would Beasley is a better fit but it would be tough to pass up a true point guard like Rose. Will have to see if they make any trades.

i cannot believe the Bulls got the #1...I know they want low post scoring, but to be honest, with guys like Deron Williams and Chris Paul running around in the league, I really think taking Rose would be the better bet, they can always look to move Kirk and re-sign Duhon or find another PG in the FA class...Rose is a top PG talent and is very unique with his skill set and physical abilities...for me, hands down Rose...plus he's the hometown kid...plus I want Miami to draft Beasley so that Haslem becomes expendable...Orlando has been chomping at the bit trying to land him for nearly 2 seasons, adding Beasley might help the odds there...
