**Official NBA thread**

Rashard cant take anyone off the dribble? WTF? there goes your credibility...Rashard Lewis is extremely versatile, should have watched him last night, he took the Pistons to the hole over and over...

Man i've been watching him all season long, and also when he was with the Sonics. He is a jump-shooter, there is absolutely no denying that. I remember the first series, he would have JASON KAPONO on him, and he would settle for the jump shot. He rarely drives to the hoop, he needs to do it a lot more often. Also, any person with any type of NBA knowledge would know Lewis is highly overpaid. He settles for the long jumpers and the 3's far too much. The only thing he has impressed me with lately is his hard work under the hoop getting those tough offensive rebounds.

i highly doubt you have been watching him all season long outside of games versus your team or ESPN...but anyway, yes he takes a lot of jumpers, because he is a shooter...however, he drives the lane A LOT, and you watching him all season long should know that...he posts up a lot and he puts up a lot of floaters withing the block...take a look at his hotzone #'s obviously Dwight commands the paint, so unless he's being fronted it's flat out hard for anyone else to be in the same space as him...Rashard doesn't drive as much as Hedo, but he doesn't have to, he's perfectly able to do his work outside when needed...but you said he cant take anyone off the dribble, which is 10000000% false...

why does it matter that he's overpaid? why should you care? you aren't an Orlando fan so there is no need to be worried about their cap situation...you dont make the payments, you aren't the leagues CPA...big deal...the entire league is overpaid...whats done is done..but to say that Rashard is one-dimnesional is egregious and completely absurd...the overpaid stuff is soo played out. he's not a global icon but he's still an extremely talented player...and putting up 33 vs the best defense in the league in a playoff game, pretty impressive or pretty lucky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

He fits Orlando's system very well...

So did we win by 25 or no?
it's only one game homie...it was nice to get a win...at least there will be no sweeping now...lets just hope we can force it to game 6 or 7...

Lol what makes you think i'm not an Orlando fan, do you not see where I am from? I like the Magic, don't really have a problem with them. I just think Rashard Lewis does not have the skill to take over a game, and that's really what Orlando needs. Turkoglu is their closer? That's embarrassing, especially after what we saw him do in game 2 with that terrible decision. Lewis needs to step up, start driving to the hoop a lot more, and stop settling for the jumpshots. And yes I did watch him all season, along with following his stats (was on my fantasy team) and I can say that Turkoglu outplayed him nearly all season.

If Turkoglu didn't step his game up this season, the Magic would be nowhere near where they are now, because Lewis and Howard just wouldn't get it done.

woulda coulda shoulda's...

Hedo did step it up, so we are where we are...thankfully...Hedo has been less than Hedo in the playoffs, that is very true...but he is the Magic's main closer and rightfully so, he was in the top 5 in 4th quarter points which put him in some pretty good company...so yes, Hedo is a closer...keep in mind this guy has Tayshaun Prince on him, one of the leagues top defenders...you have to give Prince a lot of credit in this series...last series, Hedo contributed when needed (game 2, game 4 and 5) but he was just missing a lot of easy stuff...I think the pressure is on for him and he's just struggling...dude still has game and is still a 4th quarter baller (reference last night)...

Rashard has been Mr. Consistent all season long, so I cant knock the guy, without him the Magic wouldn't be where they are right now, it's a collective effort...

If Dwight had not of stepped his game up, the Magic would not be where they are, don't forget this season he put up those #'s that all of his doubters said he never would, 20/14 when he was said to never be able to average 20+ points a game for a season...

without Stan Van Gundy the team would probably not be where they are...

like I said, all collective...

it doesnt matter where you are from, you arent a die hard Magic fan like myself, someone knocking aspects of the club and not having the down to the bone facts, makes me think you arent a fan...or just a here and there fan...

it doesnt matter, they have done well this year, they accomplished several goals this season, they eclipsed last seasons win record, they got out of the first round of the playoffs and they are not getting swept by the Pistons...one piece at a time...

So are the Pistons still up 2-1 or no?
Too bad you don't have Tracy "boy it feels good to be in the second round" McGrady.
fact check...

Tracy never said "boy it feels good to be in the second round"

ESPN Article

That made it easy for pundits to joke that Tracy McGrady apparently forgot about that little rule change after leading the eighth-seeded Magic to a 3-1 series lead over No. 1 Detroit, because T-Mac dared at this point to describe how it might feel to finally advance.
"For me, a guy who hasn't experienced the second round, that would be great," T-Mac said.

way different, huh?

pretty amazing how butchered that statement got...

Man i'm not trying to take anything away from the Magic, i'm happy they have got this far. I just think their style as of right now isn't going to make it in the playoffs. And yeah I agree with you on the Prince thing, he's a wonderful defender. You say Hedo is struggling because the pressure is on him? That's exactly my point with Rashard Lewis needing to step it up, to take the pressure off of just Hedo in the last minutes of a game.

"They had one of the better records after they picked Gasol up."
You sir are the retarded one. They were first place before they picked Gasol up, I already owned you on that one so just give it up.

When did I ever say MVP is only about defense? Kobe's offensive numbers aren't really that far from LeBron's, but his defense sure is. Making him better, yes? Maybe not in your stupid *** mind, but any person with any type of logic could figure that out. I am simply stating that Kobe's defense is what put him over the top in the MVP race, what is so hard to comprehend?

You were also the one who said you don't understand the experts logic on choosing Kobe as MVP, making you trying to seem smarter than the experts, smart guy.

Not to mention, you just said "you are probably right" when talking about Kobe making the "big shot" at the end of the game. Just another reason why dude wins MVP. Like I said, there is really no need to debate this because Chris Paul will be the first to admit Kobe deserved it, and Chris Paul will win one or more MVP's in his career, so nothing to worry about there.

Anyways... anybody else not liking Orlando's style? They depend on the 3 ball far too much, IMO. I'm not too sure if they would've won that game if Billups had stayed in. Pistons looked discombobulated when he went out. I'm sure they will fix that next game.

Yeah, I am done with your retarded ***. Can't even get your shit straight.

You must be another one of those keyboard commando's slapping at the keyboard and shit just spews out.

Also learn to use the facking multi-quote button. Don't worry about me pwning you when the forum does it for you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
