**Official NBA thread**

I think you should be asking yourself that question, not me. Lakers were 30-16 (Were 1st in the West for a while, then dropped to 2nd, but no lower than that) without Gasol. You sir are a moron. Do not act like you know more than all these experts that are voting for Kobe, there is a reason he is winning MVP, you are just too stupid to recognize it. Kobe is a MUCH better all around player now, and I like how you failed to mention his defense. That is pretty much the biggest part of him winning MVP, he's one of the best defenders in the league. You also did not mention his leadership role on the team now. If you actually do watch NBA, you would notice Kobe becoming much more of a leader this year than any of the others. I'm not saying Kobe is the unanimous pick for MVP, because LeBron, Paul, and Garnett all had great seasons too, but Kobe's was better, not by that much though.
As for the Spurs.. I am pretty sure they are done, Chris Paul is making them look foolish out there. Hornets and Lakers will be a great series to watch. Derek Fisher is going to get absolutely destroyed, lawl.
Agreed with everything you said in this post, defense is the key.

good old kick in the nuts

The statement from Joel Litvin, NBA President of Basketball Operations, reads:
"After reviewing the video of last night's Pistons-Magic game, we determined that the play that concluded with Chauncey Billups' three-point field goal at the end of the third quarter took approximately 5.7 seconds. Because there were only 5.1 seconds remaining in the quarter when the play began, the shot would not have counted had the clock continued to run.
oh well

Yep LeBron missed 2 make-able layups late in the game.. i'm very surprised they didn't foul him and send him to the line.

Also, what the hell is up with Joe Smith 1on1 defense on KG in the last minute of the game? Worst coaching ever. Pierce and Allen were ice cold, why would you not double KG?

That whole Cleveland Celts game was a mess from start to finish! One of the worst games I have ever seen. Terrible coaching on both parts, terrible shooting, refs calling fouls on both teams. Hell couldn't get up and down the court 2 times with out a foul being called on someone. It was just painful to watch. Funny how Bron only had 12 pts and we still almost beat them though.

Don't matter anyway, Bron is beatup and looks like this series will be more of the same, with Bron getting his *** kicked. I say Celts in 6.

Pulled hamstring for Billups. My hopes are dashed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
that didnt look painful at all. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif lol jk. Ouch!

Yes, they were first, then Bynum went down and they lost a few games in a row. I never mentioned how they sucked, or they were not playing well. When the made the trade with gasol, that made them that much better, period. If you can't see that, then you are an absoulte fool. They had the best record out of anyone that made the big trades, so right there show cases how good Gasol has helped them out. I honestly don't believe they would have won the divison or had the best record in the West if it wasn't for Gasol. Hell, when he got hurt those few games, they started to lose games.

Who said me knowing more than the experts?

Also when Bron played Kobe this year, he made him look a fool, just FYI. Those games had huge hype as well.

I agree Kobe's defense is better, but not much better. When you go down the stats Bron's numbers are better, period. He has done just as much for his team than Kobe has for his team. Cleveland don't have any other All stars to back up on like the Lakers do now in Gasol.

When it comes down to it anyway, I think Chris Paul should have won it. I mean shit, what was New Orleans record last year? He has come into his own and I think they have what it takes to win a championship. They are surprising a lot of people, me included.

Also I laugh at Kobe being a good leader. Yeah, was so hyped up about this year when he didn't get the help he wanted. Don't you remember any of that shit? Yeah, great team leader there.

I think Detroit will still make it out of this round as long as Billups is able to come back. And if Boston and Cleveland continue to play like they did last night they could have a nice road to the finals.

But the Lakers will reign supreme and the Kobe haters can eat a dick. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
