magic > san antonio tonight? yes.
i say no, bowen will shut down lewis or turkaglo. parker will totally outplay nelson. i dont think the magic has anyone that will match up with ginobli well. maybe if they hadnt traded ariza away i thought he was there best defender. dwight howard is, well a man beast and cant be stopped. but i got san antonio tonight, even though i dont want to. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Ariza is a strong athlete and a quality man defender he does however lack offensive effect outside of putbacks and dunks, so he didn't fit the bill for the Magic...as for your statement, how many games has he played this season? how many games has he played in the last 2 seasons? he has injury problems, that foot injury he has is an ongoing issue for him, it started in NY and has followed him to LA where it has now cost him nearly the entire season...sad, because I was a big Ariza fan...

as for the trade, speaking on this season alone the Magic won that deal hands down, it was the perfect trade for the Magic...Evans is basically an evolved Ariza, he's very crafty both on and off the ball, posses strong defense and is a cleanup guy and Cook is shooter, which is what the Magic wanted...

so...i dont really see how keeping Ariza would have any bearing on the Magic this season, or this Spurs game...

i should have stated a healthy ariza. i agree thar he is very injury prone and that the magic got the best of the deal. im a big evans fan, its just i felt that if the magic still had a healthy ariza that he would be a dominate defenive force, like how bowen is to san antonio, but he would also be able to excite the crowd and change the tempo with 2-3 plays a game. i have always been huge on him (when he plays) but an very dissapointed that he cant shake the injury bug. he has a ton of potential and i hope that some day he can get past his injuries.

Can't believe Boston lost that game.
I do think Andre Igwodala or however you spell it, will be a force for them in years to come. Guy has scary talent.
wow captain obvious!

why didnt Turkoglu shoot that well for us when he was on a champion squad? oh well.

Cause of the chemistry, I don't know. Maybe he just didn't gel with the team.

Also, just wondering if you are always going to stay a douche? Do you get off on it? I mean playing tuff go on the netz is something to speak volumes about and all, but really quite acting like you are billy badass!

even with Ariza being 100% healthy, he still didn't fit the Magic's scheme with his limited offense, that's why Van Gundy labeled him "situational". The Magic are running the inside out/ 4-1 game with Dwight holding the block and having 4 shooters around him at all times. Ariza was not and is not a shooter, he has barely made any improvements on this facet in his 3-4 years in the league, which is sad because I loved me some Ariza and was exciting about farming him with Dwight. Yes his defense is good, but I think you are overrating it quite a bit, he is a very good perimeter defender, and a solid pass defender, has a lot of intensity and stays focused, but he's not a lock down kind of guy and isnt very effective in the post unless he is right under the basket (where Dwight is)...it would be nice to have something like that off the bench, but overall him still being with the Magic would not have made them any better, in fact it may have made them worse as Evans and Cook have been big with their range in more than a handful of games this year...

Hedo shot the bell very well while in SAS and SAC...it has nothing to do with his shooting, he was brought into SAS from SAC as a shooter to take the pressure off of TD and to provide scoring off the bench as well as experience. The guy hasn't really gotten all that much better since his days in SAC, he's always had the skills to do what he is doing in Orlando, he just never had the ability to run offense so freely like he is now. He wasn't dubbed the Turkish Jordan for nothing before the NBA. the guy was listed as a 6'10" PG/SG/SF/PF and labeled the best passer in the 2000 draft...

look at his touches and attempts in SAS vs. Orlando he went from averaging about 17 touches a game and 8FGA to 42 touches and 14.5FGA, MAJOR increase...

if you remember, when Peja went down with the Kings in the 01/02 playoffs, Hedo stepped into his role and did a VERY good job at duplicating Peja's production...

Hedo is the man, and the Magic are fortunate that he was able to rise to the challenge...

I went to a Cavs game a couple weeks ago and was a lot of fun, especially from the courtside seats we got. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif LeBron is something else in LD!
