I dont know if anyone else is having or if your are still on it or not but the search isnt working for me still. I get shit from like 2K9

Its a little better than it was. The more terms you add to a search the better it produces. But I actually checked yesterday about one of the guys putting in a better search utility, but hasn't gotten back with me yet.

What type? Was thinking about Sphinx.. Google offers a site search that would be faster than anything else, but lacks a lot of features everyone likes.

I'd do both. Use google site search for quick searches and then Sphinx for advanced. I would have gone about it differently by having smart url's with folders for each section but then again that is from the point of a web designer and you didn't start this website with the thought that it was going to get this big.

Omgili is used a lot. Never used it personally though. I don't do many forum's since there aren't many that have enough of a profit to afford a real developer.

Sphinx is also pretty decent though. I'm assuming this site has a pretty large private server by now?

Yep, installing sphinx tues. so it should help search a lot. Right now, 5520 2x nehalem, 4x hdrives for raid and faster read, 12gb ram and litespeed.

Ok, 3 ppl from there are saying that the first unread post works fine. Is there anyone else that can confirm that it's not taking you to the first unread post, but only takes you to the first post in the thread, regardless of whether you have viewed it or not. Just trying to get this resolved.

I can confirm iTrader still isnt working. Ive sold a couple things in the last few days and neither thread is valid according to the iTrader plugin. Both threads where single item threads.
