well i just got done ordering a new trout fishing rig off cabelas, shimano reel/cabelas classic im-6 rod. i also have a ugly stick tiger and an abu garcia 6600 brute for catfishing. who else here loves fishin and what kinda gear you got?

I love fishing! Gives my friends and I something to do on a Saturday morning after a hard night of drinking in the woods. We've got a perfect spot on the Rogue River in a small still with rainbow trout and few salmon. We always limit out on Saturdays during June/July in the summer.

Ain't nothing like drinkin', dippin', and fishing with some buddies during the summer. I'll definetly get some pics up this summer of that. Its one of my most favorite thing to do in the world.

awesome, sounds great! ya i used to go catfishing every day at my friends pond but i havent been in a while. by far i love trout fishing the best though, just not to many places to go near my house you gotta drive like an hour to get to the good spots.

Yeah, our spot is about an hour and a half drive from my parents house. Its worth the drive though because we usually buy $50 worth of groceries at WinCo and then spend another $50 or so on alcohol, bait and last minute supplies at the market on the way. I can't wait until summer.

i find the bass fishing in the grants pass,medford, eagle point area to be awseome in the summer. i use a top water leap frog and its unbelievable.by far the best fishing in my oppinion is bottom fishing.take my abu garcia rod and real combo to the rocks and that thing has realed in some biggins for me. if anyone is ever near the oregon coast try fishing with a white led head jig about 4" long with some squid or sandshrimp and there aint no doubt you will catch your limit.

well one of the best bass fishing lakes on the west coast is about 3 hours from my house, its called clear lake. every year they have tons of tournaments up there and thats also where i do most of my catfishing. the sacramento/feather rivers are pretty good for striper fishing also. but really the only bass fishing i do is in ponds over at friends houses.

yes actually i tried it once but i was traveling through to another spot and didnt stay long. normally if i fish in the rogue river. ill go through grants pass and head towards rogue rivers town then onto the freeway about 2 miles down to the boat launch and float down about 4 miles. only when the steel head are runnin.

speaking of stripers there is a slew in coos bay full of them. especially when the jack smelt are runnin. they make great baitfish

where is coos bay at? and what are jack smelt, never heard of em. ive only been striper fishing a few times, never caught one myself.

i like to toss some lines in myself.actualy,just bought my licence yesterday.it helps that a river runs through my side yard.
