official atv thread

i've noticed when looking in classifieds in the paper and what not that the seller sometimes lists hours ridden, rather than mileage.

whats a reasonable amt of hours, or miles;whichever is a better gauging tool i guess. how many hours/miles do you guys' have on yours?

To be honest, I have absolutely NO idea how many hours I have on mine. If i was to make a guess, I would say 150 at the absolute MAXIMUM.

But then again, I rarely ride mine because I'm busy with work and whatnot now. Before that I was away at school.

Yeah, Im still not sure I want to sell mine as its such a collectors piece. About 3000 were made in 87 and an unknown amount in 88. Most of which have been parted out or are forgotten about in storage.

No more banshees either! Mine is running just under 60 HP:

Toomey 2-1 foam air cleaner

Stock carbs (380 mains/30 pilots)

V-Force 3 reeds

RB Racing aggressive dune port

Wiseco .020 pro lites

Pro Designs Cool Head w/ 22cc domes

FMF Fatty Gold series w/ Toomey silencers

+4 degree timing plate

aluminum water pump and Engine Ice

Toomey clutch springs

Man it is FAST!!!

Since my B-day is coming up I think I will ask he wife for new tires. Also I can't wait till dune season starts. Might have to make it to the night races.
