****Offical NBA playoffs thread!****

I thought I read that the Pistons had the record on the Bulls, oh well. I have Bulls in game 7, I think it will be an interesting series.
I'm disappointed in the Mavericks... Mainly Dirk... What the hell was with his comments, no confidence, only really stepped up once in the series... Josh Howard and Stack played pretty solid though.

Bye Mavericks, it is a shame, considering the GSW are not NBA finals material. If they make it to Phoenix, I'll bet they get crushed.

I hope the Jazz win the series Saturday.
you think chicago can win a game 7 in detroit? since the pistons recent run, the only game 7 they lost was in san sntonio. they have beaten orlando, new jersey, and cleveland in game 7's at home, and beat miami in game 7 on the road. chicago also doesn't have a good road record, so if chicago's going to do this, they'll have to do it in 6 games. ben wallace is the only player on that team with game 7 experience. miami was just overmatched in that series. now they are up against a formidable opponent, with much more playoff experience, and home court advantage.

I do not base my judgments on what team's players has more experience with round 7 games.

is detroit not more playoff experienced then chicago? the only team to go to 4 straight eastern conference finals since michael jordan's bulls and the bad boys

you cannot honestly say miami is better defensively then detroit. detroit for the last 5 years has been built on team and individual defense. their defense again is near the top of the league.

detroit is the only team in the east with a winning road record, so they are capable of going into chicago and winning, and on the flip side, chicago has poor road record, so are they able to go into detroit and win? much less a game 7 where the pistons have proven several times they get the job done at home in game 7.

the playoff experience is key because detroit has been in numerous playoff situations and won. they were down 3-1 to orlando and won. down 3-2 to miami and won game 7 at miami. down 3-2 to cleveland and won, down 3-2 to new jersey and won.

these aren't biased opinions, just facts.

Man I was so pumped watching that GSW game and have to say they just made the best team record wise look like little school girls. I mean they beat them by 25 some pts? Anyway, glad to see them win and head into round 2! I am very happy for Chris Mullin! Congrads to Golden State.

Also I think they could hang with the Suns. I love the suns, other team I have watched since I have been watching basketball. They can match up with their speed and we all know the Warriors when on can shoot the rock from 3 like no one else. So will be interesting to say the least. With that said though, Phx has to get past SA and SA is very tough, so I am hoping they can get past them as I really think Golden State can get past either Houston or the Jazz. So would be awesome to see GS go against the Suns. Still would have to root for the suns though.

Here is a link from Yahoo.com about Dirk. Columist thinks he was the best player on the best team and yeah they had the best record, but sorry bud best team is who wins the championship! Also I think the MVP should be given to the best player period. So with this theory you could only win the MVP as long as you play for the best team during the regular season. They system has failed because Dirk's numbers are down from other years, yet he wins the MVP? I personally think they should take into consideration after the playoffs, cause we all know if you dont make the playoffs then your not even going to be considered for a MVP award, so why not just wait. Cause Dirk in my mind is an awesome player, but he is not the MVP. Steve Nash should get again being his numbers are basically the same with more assists and a little lower on Rbds from last year and he is still in the playoffs, but yet he isnt going to get it, strange. I also know he has one it the last two years and rightfully so, but why not a 3 peat, he deserves it. Let me guess its because Leonardo Barbosa got the 6th man award and god forbid Nash get the MVP again.

Yea and sense 91 I believe is what was said -dont quote me- the Warriors have not made it out of the 1st round. Also they are only the 3rd number 8 seed to ever beat a number one.

Doesnt look like stats are holding up much this playoff season.

I am glad Utah won as well. I think the Warriors have a good chance going to the Western conference championship. Woot!

Kinda wishing the Cavs would have kept Carlos Boozer though. He is a heck of a talent. That would have been sweet on the Cavs roster.

Gooden

Boozer

Z

James

Hughes

Thats how I would have started them. Man they would have been unstopable.
