***Offical 08/09 NBA thread!***

Pmed you! Excellent game, but that was a tripping foul in the end. No questions about it. Only reason the refs didnt call it was because it was the end of the game. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Blocking foul...

look at my my last 2 years here and the previos 3 years under my old SN. i have never blamed a loss on a foul, not even the infamous Dirk v Manu in the final seconds of a game 7.

i lost, i made a deal, and i paid up...

you thought it was a sure thing, but again another team forgets to guard a role player. we didnt even use bowen on kobe and the lakers think that mason wont take that shot? kobe was on mason all night until that play!

now pay up!

you made a wager and spent the money?

Lol alright then, I'll just forget it didnt see the foul!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

That was a foul at the end but ref's always swallow their whistles at the end of the game. Lakers shouldn't have even been in a situation to lose. Fish going for the steal and then committing an and-1 on top of that just drives me insane. Congrats to the Spurs though, it's not like the Lakers haven't had the calls go their way at the end of games against the Spurs before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Won't be as easy as you think.

Cavs should have won the first game and we slaughtered you guys the 2nd game.

Cavs almost beat you last year in the series with a much shittier team.

I believe the Cavs have what it takes. At first I was skeptical, but I am confident we have what it takes to win a championship this year. Boston will be there, but they have looked like ish as of late.

I never said it wold be easy. In fact, it's going to be harder. They're very hungry for just winning a championship. There is just too much talent on the Celtics. They're just tired right now. The swagger is already starting to come back. Granted, we will have to wait til they play their next "qaulity opponent" to be sure. But I just don't see how a team this loaded will just go away.

How do you figure you should have won the first meeting.?? I mean Lebron got his points but so did Pierce. It was close. But it seemed to either team's game and Boston won it. Yep the Cavs whipped them the 2nd game but it's a long season and you also have to realize that the Celts are in their slump and the Cavs are peaking.

I don't think they're that much different this year. It's more or less Lebron getting the Jordan rule. But it is what it is. Thats how the NBA works.

You know, even after this big slump the Celtics are in they're still only 1/2 game out of the NO.1 seed in the East. The Cavs won't be this hot all year. Question is will they slump come playoff time or get it out of the way earlier.??

Boston's bench is too short; they need another scorer on the perimeter and/or another big. The Big 3 are playing better than they were last year, but the bench and the D is not up to their standards. Will Marbury solve anything.....?

We'll see who is hot when playoffs come, but Celtics talent is not where you think it is. Besides, no one can stop the Cavs as a team when LeBron is on, especially if he turns it on before the 4th quarter. Brown is also making sure LeBron is rested for the playoffs...he's averaging his least amount of minutes per game since his rookie season.

edit: And the Celts are only 1/2 game back.....with 5 more games played.
